Your Role:


As a member of the R&D Model Shop you will be machining parts to print by reading blueprints and by communication with the design engineer to confirm the part or assembly matches with the design intent.  You will operate machine shop equipment and tools including milling machine, lathes, CNC mill, and CNC lathe.  You will also perform quality checks on fabricated parts using various metrology tools.  Responsibilities will also include maintenance of equipment, purchasing of materials for job, and maintaining the work area.  Most of the work is prototype parts which will require multiple setups for most jobs.


Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical High School Diploma and 1+ years of experience working with manual mills and manual lathes OR 3+ years of experience working with manual mills and manual lathes
  • 1+ years of experience creating setups for machining parts
  • 1+ years of experience with CNC mill programming

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Protrak CNC Mill programming
  • Protrak CNC lathe programming
  • Solidworks basic skills
  • CAMWorks or other CAD/CAM programming experience
  • Welding and sheet metal fabrication
  • HAAS or G-code programming experience
  • Experience operating 3D printer
  • Ability to be productive making basic parts with no oversights
