Your role: As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, you are ensuring the marketability of our innovative and leading Life Science portfolio from a regulatory perspective. In your role you are responsible for developing regulatory strategies and operational implementation/ improvement of processes under REACH and beyond. You will be part of a highly motivated, global and experienced expert team.  In your day-to-day business you lead registration and implementation projects and the optimization of organizational design and work processes. With your in-depth regulatory expertise, you will also participate in strategic business projects as well as, tech transfers and legal entity changes and represent the chemical regulatory affairs know-how within Life Science and external industry associations. The complex tasks require a close and interdisciplinary co-operation with the Production, Product Management, Procurement and other functions within Merck as well as the communication with external partners, associations, authorities and customers. With your affinity to data bases and software tools you find efficient solutions for handling of data for regulatory affairs tasks. Your motivation is to bring in your engagement and expertise in the area of chemical regulations in a unique company of the chemical industry to be part of the success story.


Who you are:

  • Natural Science degree, preferably PhD in toxicology, chemistry or biology.
  • Min. 5 years of profound experience in the area of Regulatory Affairs with in-depth expertise in different aspects of REACH/ REACH-like programs (e.g. Swiss ChemO)
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills, Lean Six Sigma qualification is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, team working attitude and strategical thinking required
  • Very good PC skills (e.g. MS Office, SAP EH&S, QlikView) and a digital mindset is a must
