This employee with participate and lead efforts to develop and implement operational schedules and planning & scheduling systems that improve service levels and reduce operating and inventory costs. The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert/Technical Resource. Participate in the testing of system wide developments. Act as a departmental technical resource throughout the implementation process. Identify training or system related issues and create documentation for training or preparing enhancement requests for system development. Lead discussions and training sessions for implementations. Productivity through Process Improvement Initiatives.
The Specialist, Planning and Scheduling SR will act as the Principle Coordinator for Ongoing, Cross Functional Projects. Train identified personnel (including outside IPF) on aspects of SAP or supporting systems. Lead process improvements to increase productivity, eliminate waste, and streamline processes in production. Master Data Maintenance and Ownership. Acts as a central resource for submitting product, recipe, or BOM changes in the PPPO Change database for Planning and Scheduling. Able to review and troubleshoot Master Data changes as identified in the PPPO Change database and any other change databases that affect planning. Develop queries and reports to actively identify errors in master data tables for MRP
The candidate will identify and test potential changes to master data to improve MRP functionality. Develop, Test and Execute Models for Scheduling Operations. Utilize MRP lists and identify new SAP generated reports to analyze worldwide service levels. Review anomalies in the forecast and adjust the forecast accordingly. Identify and control physical and material constraints. Assist planners in the development and testing to maximize throughput and reduce costs. Calculate specific safety stock levels, test and implement strategies with high demand to ensure 100% service level. Develop SAP generated reports various performance measures to identify opportunities for refinement of strategies, process improvement, and testing. Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned. Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule.
To perform the duties of the job this employee will sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment. Employee will view computer monitors for long periods of time. This employee will also use close vision and adjust focus. Employee will occasionally lift no more than 25 pounds.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Statistics or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience with creating and analyzing data using SAP, Logility and Microsoft Office Access, Excel and Word
- 1+ years of experience using forecasting-based software such as SAP, Logility, GRASP
- 5+ years working in an industrial and planning/supply chain environment
- 5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling functions using MRP or ERP systems
- APICS or equivalent certification in CPIM or CSCP
- Documented leadership ability in process improvement techniques to reduce costs, improve service levels and increase capacity.
- Strong analytical abilities with problem solving techniques, unconditional commitment to teamwork and communication.
