Your role:

 

You will help MilliporeSigma realize the potential of cell and gene therapies to transform lives by advancing the industrialization of new manufacturing technologies.

 

Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, Viral Gene Therapy Manufacturing, the VGT Product Manager is responsible for driving the development and commercialization of new products and applications for viral vector manufacturing. You will lead multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve your goals in a highly matrixed environment.

 

In this role you will develop and implement a product strategy for viral gene therapy manufacturing products for lentiviral and AAV vector manufacturing. Execute on key product development milestones to see products through conception, development, and launch; support launched products through their life cycles. You will also be responsible for creating a marketing strategy while executing tactics supporting VGT manufacturing products to help position MilliporeSigma as a leader in cell and gene therapy.

 

The Product Manager will monitor customer trends, analyze market data, assess competitor offerings, and make strategic recommendations. When required you will define product specifications to address customer pain points and market needs and monitor sales and profitability to ensure above market growth and maximize margins.

 

Domestic and international travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Candidate can work out of our Bedford, MA or St Louis, MO site

 

 

Who you are:

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business or Marketing
  • 2+ years of experience with marketing, sales, product development or R&D in life science or biotechnology industry

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years combined experience in global marketing, sales, and/or product management; experience in the life science industry preferred
  • Exposure to gene editing tools, bioprocessing, viral vector manufacturing, and/or cell and gene therapy
  • Experience in market assessment, voice of customer collection, product development, and go-to-market strategy development
  • Experience with work in a matrixed environment, build multi-dimensional relationships, and effectively collaborate across functions and geographies
