As Associate Sourcing Manger, FMICM and Resale, you will be accountable to develop, implement and support sourcing strategies that drive value within the Sector Sourcing Life Science. This position is responsible for leading sourcing initiatives with functional business partners primarily within the US Region. As a key link between internal stakeholder groups, Procurement, and external suppliers, the role holder is accountable for understanding key business drivers and ensuring that stakeholder requirements are fulfilled. You should be experienced in cross-functional collaboration and use of strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, quality and supplier performance.
We need a proactive, analytical and vocal team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization. Strong networking skills are a must in order to succeed in this global organization. This person should have broad knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, this knowledge should include, but is not limited to: Actively work with the Sourcing Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Business Partners, Operations and others to source goods in accordance with business requirements, policies and procedures; Conducts internal and external spend and market analyses, identifies opportunities, supports GSM’s to develop category strategies, coordinates and participates on cross-functional teams; Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers; Develop and maintain strong and successful relationships with internal/external stakeholders and with key suppliers; Develop & implement supply security, cost efficiency and innovation projects to provide the best total cost solution to the organization; Track supplier performance and communicate the performance to the procurement network and the relevant internal stakeholders.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in a Technical (Scientific or Engineering) or Business field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a strategic sourcing capacity
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a large multi-national organization in the Life Science or Medical Device industry
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders including senior management
- Strong working knowledge of analytical tools, Excel and experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Position can either be located in Saint Louis Mo. or Burlington MA
