The R&D Scientist will conduct immunoassays and R&D related activities within Life Science business at MilliporeSigma. Reporting to the R&D Manager/Supervisor, this individual will work independently and will be responsible for several projects focusing on new product development, product validation, troubleshooting, and operations support for key biological reagents.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in cutting-edge high sensitivity assay technologies and new product development processes in the biotechnology industry.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Endocrinology or other related Bioscience discipline with 3+ years Immunoassay experience or Master’s degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Endocrinology or other related Bioscience discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Endocrinology or other related Bioscience discipline with 5+ years Biotechnology industrial experience or academic research experience or Master’s degree or PhD with 2+ years Biotechnology industrial experience or academic research experience.
- Demonstrated proven success working with cross functional groups.
- Proven experience in technical skills such as multiplex assay, ELISA, and other antibody-based techniques.
- Result-oriented with proven track record of success in independently executing multiple projects simultaneously within a team environment.
- Ability to manage projects, coordinate activities, and present project progress in a well-organized manner.
- Proven Excel skills in documentation, data manipulation and presentation, and use of other software for data calculations.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with web-based data reviews and transfers.
