Your role:


A new and exciting role to join our team in Algeria is now available! Due to an internal promotion we are currently looking for our next Algeria General Manager. As a leader of a key market in the French speaking Africa Region you will report directly to the Managing Director of North West Africa. You will manage a turnover of 45 m€ and a team of professionals across different functions.

You will develop proactively the Biopharma business in Country and be responsible for its profitability and growth. Identify relevant economic, political and healthcare authorities, build strong relationships and establish cooperation with decision makers (economic, political and healthcare authorities etc.) and key influencers (agents, distribution partners, key opinion leaders etc.).

 

You will have the responsibility of establishing and managing local partnerships, identifying market development opportunities and priorities in the country and coordinate specialist support from Global in order to qualify opportunities and establish business. You will also formulate and implement operational strategies to ensure attainment of revenue and profitability.

 

You will have a strategic impact on the business by developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders (local and regional Regulatory Affairs, Medical, Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal etc.) in order to facilitate meeting the objectives, contributing to the value-added perspectives or advisory services that are important to decision making and take responsibility for planning of resources, budgets and policies.

 

Who are you:


•             Degree in Life Science / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Pharmaceuticals, an MBA would be an asset

•             Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in the Chemical / Life Science industry / Pharma with strong leadership experience

•             Start-up experience would be a plus

•             Fluent in Arabic, French and English
