Your role: In this role based in Glasgow, you will report directly to the UK Head of the Process Solutions Services business. You will be responsible for the operational activities of assigned departments (notably Facilities, Engineering and Inventory Management) covering all three sites in the Central Belt of Scotland. Your direct team will consist of 5 experienced senior professionals and managers responsible for Facilities, Engineering, Equipment Validation, Inventory Management and EHS. You will drive a culture of Operational Excellence, focused on continuously identifying opportunities for waste elimination, increased fixed asset utilization, and cost reduction.  As a member of the Process Solutions Services UK Site Leadership Team, you will provide tactical leadership to the relevant functions, ensuring projects are adequately resourced with suitably trained and competent staff to deliver high value and excellent service to our clients.  Alongside your colleagues in the Site Leadership Team, you will facilitate the strategic goal alignment process and assist with the development and implementation of the business’ strategy initiatives. Working alongside the other Operations Directors, part of the role will also focus on improving and expanding our footprint to support our continued growth.

 

Who you are:

  • You have 10+ years of relevant or equivalent work experience
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory or related environment
  • You are an excellent communicator 
  • You have proven commercial experience
  • You demonstrate strong leadership and coaching capabilities
  • You work collaboratively with cross functional departments
