Job Title: Manager - DevOps Quality & Compliance (f/m)

 

Job Location: Electronic City, Bangalore 

 

Job Description:

As Head of DevOps Manufacturing Applications you will manage a team of talented IT Application Engineers and IT Service Delivery Managers architecting and optimizing global applications, bridging shop floor with ERP across businesses. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of project delivery managers, service delivery managers and application engineers
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Set clear team goals
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Oversee day-to-day operation
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Motivate team members
  • Assess training needs of and provide coaching to staff
  • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
  • Encourage creativity and risk-taking
  • Suggest and organize team building activities

 

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

  • Prior work experience in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) 
  • Academic degree in computer science, natural science, engineering or business administration
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience with 5+ years  of personnel management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics and leading, driving and successfully closing IT projects in a complex, global matrix organization
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record in in  international company, preferably in Process/Manufacturing Industries
  • Thoroughly familiar with current IT application development models and methodologies (preferably SCRUM certification)
  • Formal qualification in PMP, ITIL, SixSigma, GMP are a plus

 

Specific Information related to the position:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Profound experience in working in cross-functional, multi-cultural teams as well as proven ability to lead international teams
