An exciting new opportunity has arisen in our company as Inside Account Manager dedicated to Merck Group UK/Ireland. This position will be part of Research Global Strategic Accounts (GSA). In coordination with the global team you will be responsible to grow current intercompany business and creating/executing on additional opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets in your territory. Call planning, pipeline management, lead identification and qualification, proactive sales calling and performance monitoring to drive the sales and achieve the set sales target will be part of your work routine. You will also be able to work closely with other business units and functions such as eBusiness, Technical Services, Marketing, Sales Support, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Supply Chain on a regular basis. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to actively plan and execute the roll-out of our SigmaAldrich.com B2B platform internally in close collaboration with your Western European team lead.
Who You Are:
- Scientific degree and/or experience in account management
- Good knowledge of our portfolio & B2B platform
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a global team
- Ability to create/interpret accurate sales data/forecasts
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships and trust with internal partners and customers
- Flexible and willing to travel within territory (up to 20% of your time)
