In this role, you will collaborate with key business stakeholders across the organization to help support and drive strategy development activities and strategic projects/initiatives within your focus areas. The analysis and insights produced by the Business Strategy Manager will be critical to informing investment decisions, near term and long-term strategies. This is a role with high visibility to senior management and excellent career advancement opportunities.
Strategy development: driving strategy development process, including financial modeling, building business case, preparing management presentations, etc.; acting as key thought-partner with business stakeholders; planning and executing strategic projects in the focus areas
Market insights: developing market model; conducting primary market research and/or leveraging resources from secondary research to explore market trends and identify potential market opportunities; monitoring and reporting market movements
Business analytics: supporting critical business dashboarding activities and analytical deep-dives in support of strategic decision-making; analyzing internal data (sales, web metrics, operational KPIs, other) to identify performance trends & opportunities, and to inform strategic direction
Strategy execution: driving execution of strategic priorities and initiatives
Who you are:
- BA/BS in life science or quantitative field
- 4+ years of strategy development experience, in management consulting or similar role; ideally with a focus on biotech and/or pharma
- Experience initiating and driving complex, multi-stakeholder projects within a matrix organization
- Experience partnering with, presenting to, and influencing senior management audiences
- Excellent Excel & PPT skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Intellectually curious, highly collaborative, flexible and team-oriented
- Independent and results-driven working style
- Domestic and international travel ~ 10%
- Fluent spoken and written English; additional language fluency a plus
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PhD)
- Knowledge of other analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau) is a plus
