Your Role:

This role will be within the Finance Operations Team where the Corporate Treasury Specialist will be responsible for managing the Treasury Functions for the English & Portuguese speaking Africa region.

As part of your responsibilities you will:

Handle receipts, banking and protection of company funds

Invest available funds

Ensure enough funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investments requirements

Forecast cash flow positions

Analyze risk that might impact cash flow

Maintain cash flow by reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports

Comply with Corporate Treasury requirements

Comply with Reserve Bank statutory requirements and legislation

Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Treasury activities

Prepare Financial Reports, oversee the extension of credit to customers, assist with managing the company’s Financial Accounting, monitor and report systems and keep abreast of changes in Financial Regulations and legislation.

Maintain positive relationships with Banks and Financial Institutions

Demonstrate concern for long term as well as immediate short-terms goals and actions.

Double-check the accuracy of information and work product, and carefully monitors the details and quality of other’s work. Expresses concern that things are done thoroughly or precisely

Maintain awareness of the interrelationships among activities in a project, planning work assignments and resource allocation accordingly. Works effectively under short deadlines.

Implement control systems to ensure effective measurement and detection of variances.

 

Who you are:

•        Completed B.Com Accounting / Finance Degree

•        Desirable to have completed Articles

•        Banking related qualification (beneficial)

•        5-7 Years’ experience in Treasury Management

•        FMCG experience

•        IFRS experience

•        Credit Control Experience

•        Knowledge of how to use computer packages with the ability to store or analyze data, create reports or databases, querying data, manipulating data

•        People management experience with strong cross functional collaboration
