The Process Solutions Communications Manager will serve as the Communications Business Partner for our Process Solutions business. The role will support holistic Process Solutions communications, as well as strategic focus areas such as BioProcessing and Gene Editing & Modalities (GENM).
Your role: This role is responsible for providing executive communications support, as well as driving internal communication programs within each division. Externally, they will support PR and media activities, maintaining a strong external brand image and reputation. Special events and logistics planning projects will also be a core responsibility.
This role will be responsible for communications strategy development, messaging development, content creation, content curation and program management, ensuring high quality, consistent communication both internally and externally.
Heavy collaboration and integration are required to integrate with other PS communications colleagues and other Life Science Communications team members to ensure alignment in messaging and implementation across all internal channels. Content coordination will require close partnership with many areas of the business including Research Leadership Teams, eBusiness, Marketing Communications, and R&D, in addition to other various functions within the life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
You will be responsible for Executive Communications Strategy & Support including LinkedIn page presence. Creation and maintenance of intranet pages. Content creation for internal as well as external social/digital channels. Assisting with internal communications logistics and event planning. Drafting content for media and social media and slide development. Meeting planning and execution. Script writing and presentation recommendations. Support special projects and initiatives
Who you are: minimum qualifications, 7-10 years working in a Communications role. Bachelor's degree. Very strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as part of a team. Expresses oneself effectively, delivers well-prepared communications and encourages open communication from others. Multi-task oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to balance multiple responsibilities. Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills. Strong Powerpoint and Microsoft Teams skills. Previous experience in executive communications. Internal Communications experience a plus.
