The manufacturing department manufactures, assembles and performs kitting activities to create food pathogen diagnostic test kits.
As a Hybrid Operator/Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting our swab assembly production line’s semi-automated pneumatic and electric assembly equipment. You will also be trained to operate the assembly machine and be responsible for production activities related to our swab device. Supporting the adherence to a weekly production schedule is paramount, you will possess a sense of urgency and proactiveness to prevent downtime, follow all safety requirements and ensure the quality of the assembly machine’s output. The position is from 2:30 pm to 11:00pm Monday through Friday, requires ability to document the work you do, and requires adherence to all operational SOPs and their requirements.
Who You Are:
A team player that can work independently with little supervision after completing a training program. Possess a working knowledge of ISO certification requirements, have strong written and verbal communication skills, possess a continuous improvement mindset, always searching for ways to increase throughput of an automated assembly machine. You will be expected to coordinate maintenance activities with supervision to minimize downtime and lost production time.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience within a manufacturing assembly operation.
- 1+ years of maintenance experience with semi-automated pneumatic and electric assembly equipment
- Working knowledge of inventory control.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic repair techniques.
- Working knowledge of ISO or other regulated environments. (FDA, gMP etc.)
- Exposure to LEAN manufacturing environments, or the principles LEAN
- Exposure to working in clean room environments.
