Your Role: 

The North American Technology Management team is seeking a Burlington, Massachusetts MilliporeSigma site-based Senior Manager of Purification with strong experience in Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) and to support our Purification Technologies and Application areas. You will lead a North America based Purification team that requires the ability to coach, lead and develop a regional team of technical experts focusing on Purification and fully integrated solutions for our targeted customer. You and your team will be responsible for developing new regional product launch strategies and providing product adoption application support to the North American commercial team and customers.  You will be expected to develop local marketing strategies and create insightful win/loss analysis.  We are looking for someone with great communication and writing skills who can communicate effectively with customers.  The candidate is expected to bring value and technical leadership to the organization. This person will work closely with the North American Sales and Process Development Scientist teams to support customer opportunities.

 

Candidate must be able to travel to customer locations within Eastern North America - MA, NY NC, MD, PA, NJ, IN, IL, MO and Canada - about 30% of the time throughout the year. Best if located in Burlington, MA area.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related scientific or technical discipline with 4+ years in management and business experience within the Life Science industry.
  • Relevant post-graduate work experience (10+) can substitute for lack of higher degree.
  • Primary experience in Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), with clear understanding in Chromatography and Clarification applications and industrial customer needs/trends.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach and develop a team local and remote team. 

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) preferred. 
  • Strong customer and sales orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communications
