Responsibilities:

 

The Director, Global Marketing Oncology will lead and drive the development of clear, aligned strategy for the portfolio and pipeline assets consistent with the Oncology Global Business Franchise (“GBF”) strategy for all early-to-later stage Oncology pipeline assets in preparation for decisions by senior leadership. Responsibilities include:

 

  1. Provide commercial leadership and input to asset development, including competitive landscaping, market differentiation, and business case assessments, to inform strategic direction and resource allocation;
  2. Develop the early asset project team as a partner to Research & Development (“R&D”) and Clinical in designing pre-clinical and clinical studies to establish the commercial value proposition, including determining clinical hurdles and endpoints, clinical comparators, personalized medicine/ diagnostic strategy, labeling and global development, and launch footprint;
  3. Partner with key functional stakeholders as strategic thought-partner and to drive critical commercial inputs such as market access, regional market commercialization, product supply, and identify potential opportunities such as LCM (Lifecycle Management), external partnerships, and business development in order to maximize the value of the portfolio;
  4. Ensure cross-functional team alignment on visions, objectives, and strategies across brand and pipeline programs, and develop, execute, and communicate business-critical strategic initiatives such as portfolio review and prioritization; and
  5. Develop strategic playbooks and tactical templates to execute on commercial analyses such as early-asset positioning, market segmentation, patient journeys, key opinion leader (“KOL”) mapping, brand naming, and disease state market education.

 

Travel requirement: 4% domestic travel per year and 4% international travel per year required.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related field and six (6) years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

  1. Demonstrated ability to interpret and inform decision-making in a pharmaceutical business and development space gained through six (6) years of work experience.

 

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of oncology drug development gained through six (6) years of work experience.  

 

  1. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to drive commercial input into pharmaceutical development programs gained through six (6) years of work experience.

 

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of both early stage and late stage oncology drug development including diagnostic biomarkers and market access trends worldwide gained through six (6) years of work experience.

 

  1. Demonstrated ability to lead drug development consulting projects informing commercial input into decision making gained through six (6) years of work experience.

 

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of scientific and financial expertise relating to the support of external business development and licensing in biopharma gained through six (6) years of work experience.

 

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
