Overview of the Role

Position will drive commercial marketing initiatives aimed at Life Science Reagents & Kits especially in cell culture reagents, kits and cell lines. Position will be responsible for planning, executing and monitoring marketing strategy for the business, including growth initiatives, sales/marketing alliance. Position will be a key interface to represent marketing needs of sales team and the customers and will provide input for new product development, conduct training, and support any other activities that promote the company brand, business growth of targeted market share.



  • 3+ years of experience in marketing and/or commercial strategy and execution role
  • Experience in life science and related trading companies preferred
  • Academic background in life science, chemistry or related science field (particularly in genome editing technology related) preferred
  • Experience in R&D in life science and related fields preferred
  • BSc, MSc, or MBA preferred
  • Language: Japanese (business level), English (business level)


Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and deploy Marketing plans for Portfolios assigned (mainly SBU694/768/769: cell culture reagents/kits/cell lines/serum)
  • Plan and coordinate events including field sales events, on-site seminars, and major regional in collaborating with Digital/Marcom/Event/Technical Service team.
  • Perform detailed analysis and routine reporting of regional revenue.
  • Provide regular reports of market insight and competitive updates pertaining to technology trends, new products, compelling applications, adjacent market opportunities or any growth agenda
  • Establish close relationships with sales organization and key customers
  • Gather VOC directly to assess impact of product positioning, brand equity, customer satisfaction and marketing effectiveness
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders who can provide testimonials and/or participate in events
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of commercial services, business development, pricing, channel management methods, costs, and results vis-à-vis the operating plans
