Your Role: 

At MilliporeSigma, the Associate Production Scientist (Synthetic Organic Chemist) will manufacture or evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others, and perform operations in support of the group and department.  He/she will safely perform operations to meet quality expectations ensuring quality throughout the process.  The Associate Production Scientist (Synthetic Organic Chemist) must also complete the volume of work required to achieve group/departmental goals and meet deadlines.  Participation in quality audits will be required as needed.  In compliance with change control procedures, he/she will also be responsible for improving processes through application of scientific knowledge, experience, and principles.  There will be 6-12 months of training to learn specifics of job adequately in order to work independently.


Who You Are:


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
  • 6+ months of independent lab research or industrial experience


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of ISO Quality standards.
  • Familiar with laboratory instruments and production equipment
  • Safe chemical handling methods.
  • Computer skills.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Knowledge in chemistry or biochemistry, math and general science
