The Quality Control group is looking for a QC Scientist at our MilliporeSigma facility in Norwood, OH. This position will interact with different functions at the site to improve product quality and to provide support for continuous improvement projects. This position will support Production in process testing. The individual shares responsibility for lab equipment maintenance, housekeeping and other lab support functions while ensuring compliance with all established quality requirements, standards and maintains the lab in an audit ready state. Will perform analysis of our high purity solvents and solvent mixtures, as well as laboratory support functions.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- 4+ years of laboratory experience
- Experience in analytical techniques such as-MS, HPLC-MS, IC, ICP-MS and Karl Fischer Titration
- Strong knowledge of software systems associated with laboratory science such as LIMS, LabVantage, SAP LIMS, LabWare, Open Lab, Waters, Agilent or other related software systems
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- A strong quality and safety mindset
