Your role:
You ensure provision of trusted guidance & support on identifying, assessing and managing Safety risks and opportunities, and strongly drives the EHS operational control measures at the sites and conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to ensure that facility standards and operational areas are in compliance with governmental regulations, OSHA and corporate policy. You ensure Subject Matters of Expertise in Process Equipment Integrity, Permit to Work System, Management of Contractor’s System, Machine Safety on other occupational safety areas. You will develop and implement a standardized incident investigation process to include monitoring of accountabilities and progress of corrective actions and in addition you develop and implement accident prevention/reduction programs to ensure a safe working environment, reduce personal injury, and reduce damage to company property.  Assist management when investigating accidents and preparing findings and conclusions.  Ensure that corrective action is taken to prevent similar accidents. Observe work procedures and provide counsel on unsafe acts You ensure managers and team leaders receive effective training & coaching to help them take ownership, lead and manage employee health within their area of responsibility and coordinate a network of employee Safety professionals and champions across GHO, and develop their functional and leadership competencies. You will support on programme: behavioral safety initiatives at all locations with the goal of ownership of safety as a core value and mindset to ensure compliance and performance is regularly audited and assessed and that the results are used to drive further improvements.


Who you are:


  • Min 10 y experience in the field of Occupational Health & Safety , preferable in an international environment
  • Scientific, engineering, chemical or pharmaceutical background (mind. Master), preferable additional Postgrade in Occupational Safety
  • The position requires global travel (ca. 10-20%)
  • Fluent in English 
  • Strong communication skills


Position can be filled in Germany, Italy, Switzerland or Barcelona.
