Your Role:


Facility Service Associate 1 will keep offices, restrooms, buildings, grounds, and plant facilities neat and orderly.


  • Trash and cardboard dumpsters are clean and swept out.
  • Area around dumpsters is clean and swept.
  • Inform management when compactors are full.
  • Toilets and urinals are cleaned and disinfected daily.
  • Sinks, counter tops, mirrors, and walls are cleaned daily.
  • Dispensers, handles, and partitions are wiped down daily.
  • Restroom floors are dust mopped and wet mopped daily. Buffing is done once a week.
  • Dispose of unwanted soap.
  • Showers are cleaned daily including removal of all soap scum on mats, doors and walls. Make sure shower mats and curtains are clean.
  • Floor drains are free of hair, soap scum, and build up.
  • Lunchroom supplies are stocked. Will leave notes for vendor.
  • Trash cans, telephones, and vending machines are all wiped down daily.
  • Mats and carpets are vacuumed daily.
  • Trash is emptied daily. 
  • Windows, vents, telephones, cup container, computer screens, and partitions are cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Tile office floors and terrazzo floors are swept and mopped daily and buffed once a week. Walk-behind scrubber may be used.
  • Deep scrubbing and wax recoating of tile floors as needed.
  • Cement floors are dust mopped daily. Specific areas are wet mopped twice a week.
  • Chairs are moved or placed on tables for daily sweeping and twice a week for floor burnishing.
  • Dispensers, handles, and partitions are wiped down daily.
  • Front entrances are swept daily and as needed.
  • Debris is picked up.
  • Walls, phones, windows, vents, cobwebs, and ceilings are checked on a regular basis.
  • Stairwells are scrubbed as needed.
  • Doors and stainless-steel shine.
  • Tables, chairs, toasters, sinks, and dispensers are cleaned daily.
  • High dusting such as light fixtures and air vents are cleaned weekly.
  • Replace light bulbs, clean fixtures and assist maintenance with systems testing and inspection.
  • Carpet machines are used as needed.
  • Grounds are cleaned on a regular basis. 
  • Cigarette butts are picked up and ashtrays emptied daily.
  • Occasionally shovels snow and mows grass and weeds.


Physical Attributes:

  • Standing, reaching, bending, twisting, being able to lift up to 25 lbs and up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Who you are:


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years general janitorial experience 


Preferred Requirements:

  • Power equipment experience
  • Computer experience
