Your Role:

Working independently and in coordination with the Production Team, Lead or Supervisor, Responsible for operations related to final packaging or boxing of products to the established quality standards to meet customer demand and expectations. Additionally, optimizing operations to realize maximum efficiency and productivity. Will perform basic troubleshooting and maintain equipment and area cleanliness. Interfaces and works with safety, quality, engineering and senior manufacturing personnel in identifying and implementing process improvements and process validations

  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work environment
  • Know and follow all Company safety rules, such as safe work practices, personal protective equipment, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Quality Management System as they pertain to Materials Control, Handling, Line Opening/Closing, and labelling
  • Verify that product being moved has an appropriate Pallet Placard & QC Stamp before moving
  • Wrap all Skids of Finished Goods or WIP & safely move them to their proper location
  • Understand and follow all written documents including standard operating procedures (SOP’s), forms
  • Works directly with the kitting room and the shippers/receivers to coordinate all material needed for the shop floor
  • Returns remaining material back to its ERP location
  • Responsible for replenishing the VLM
  • Assists with weekly cycle counts
  • Helps issue material to work orders when needed
  • Print pick lists/ pick work orders

 

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift up to 50lbs, sometimes frequently
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours

 

Who You Are:  

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing industry (medical device, pharma, biotech)
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO and cGMP
  • Strong knowledge of good documentation practices
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to operate PCs, printers, Word, Excel, Access, Oracle
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally and written
  • Ability to work in a group setting where teamwork is expected
  • Demonstrates a high attention to detail
  • Lean Manufacturing certifications
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
  • High intellectual horsepower with proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
  • Good decision maker
  • Always looking to share and advance best practices
  • Ability to drive change and challenge the status quo in a respectful/professional manner
