Your Role:

As an Engineering Manager in the Semiconductors Capital Investment Project Execution Team, you will lead a team will providing expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering on a variety of asset builds and infrastructure modifications ranging in scope from specialty chemical production equipment installation to greenfield building construction. Successful execution of these expansion projects is necessary to meet the growing customer demands in the rapidly expanding Semiconductor business. To succeed in this role, you must be experienced working in a matrix environment connecting with remote team members, project managers, and customers. As an engineering expert yourself, you will need to keep advancing your skills and the skills of the team through continuous education and on-the-job

  • Knowledge of robust project engineering systems as well as strong awareness and sensitivity to the complexities and safety challenges of executing specialty materials manufacturing processes
  • Train, coach, develop and mentor your team
  • Evaluate problems and opportunities and develop solutions
  • Manage and coordinate startup, commissioning and closeout of projects

 

Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years proven experience in engineering
  • Experience working in a matrix environment connecting with remote team members, project managers, and customers
  • 3+ years’ experience in executing small to large capital projects (greater than $10MM) using various execution strategies including use of contract engineering design, construction and procurement (EPC)
  • Supervisory or Line Management experience
  • Willing to lead a mixed team (mechanical and electrical) of up to eight engineers

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering (MS or PhD)
  • Strong knowledge of formal project management processes and tools, and the ability to utilize these tools to initiate, manage, and close complex projects
  • Professional experience with manufacturing processes, as well as knowledge of materials of construction for electronics specialty chemicals production
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust to changing priorities
  • Exhibit a passion for continuous learning and problem solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and meeting management skills in Mandarin and English
