About the role:
Position: Associate Manager Logistics
Location: Rasayani, Patalganga
Scope of Responsibility
Support Head - Distribution in efficient execution of Primary & Secondary Pan India Transportation by designing process improvements such as Vehicle load optimization, Vendor performance management, Cost Optimization etc. Support in creating a safe work culture amongst Logistics Service Provider. Focused approach towards Margin and Asset optimization considering strong analytical inputs while defining strategy or taking decisions. Plan and implement technological aspects in Logistics operations to reduce the manual dependency and increase the operational efficiency.
Essential Job Functions
Drive a safety culture among service providers and ensure their adherence to Central Motor Vehicles Act and Corporate Guidelines. Logistics planning for Goods movement from Toll Manufacturing Centers to Central Warehouse and onwards to Distribution centers & Customers. Monitor routine Logistics operations which includes indenting, vehicle placements, customer complaints etc. Manage Logistics service providers and monitor their KPI on monthly basis. Collaborative working along with various internal stakeholders such as Customer Excellence, Warehouse, Commercial, Finance. Analysis of logistics cost on routine basis and ensure optimization of Cost of Logistics. Basis on analysis, fix up a strategy to optimize the allocated Logistics budget and achieve the targets. Generate Daily, Weekly and Monthly MIS reports and thereby monitor performance of service providers through set Logistics KPI’s. Report monthly operational performance to Logistics Manager and be a part of management monthly review. Work on concepts related to technology and link to transport operations to enhance the operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Handle service complaints and take up damage and disputed matters with Insurance department
Who you are:
- Graduation in any Field.
- Management degree in Logistics preferred
- Experience of 5 to 7 years in Core transportation which includes surface transport as well as courier services.
Knowledge and Skills
- Fluent English, written and verbal.
- Good understanding of Logistics operations and Transport regulations in Chemical, Pharma or FMCG.
- Active listening skills and ability to formulate decisions and actions in clear business language.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Result oriented and impactful communication.
Additional Local Needs
- Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage
