Your role: You will serve as the Legal business partner for the Quality & Regulatory, ISCO and Life Science Procurement organizations in EMEA. You will handle regulatory and quality concerns arising in EMEA in the business and serve as a core resource to our Regulatory Management, Trade Compliance, Environmental Health & Safety, Hazard Communications & Chemical Regulations, Quality Services teams, Life Science ISCO and Procurement teams located in EMEA.

You will provide a full range of legal support, including providing guidance to management and local units on relevant legal and business matters, reviewing, evaluating and advising internal clients on process and operational improvements, identifying and mitigating risk, drafting and negotiating various agreements, managing and/or coordinating adverse regulatory or governmental actions, coordinating and managing outside counsel as necessary, and advising and training colleagues and internal clients on related legal issues and best practices. You will also provide support for related direct Procurement matters, including ISCO raw materials, equipment and logistics for sites located in EMEA. The position is located in Darmstadt, Germany or Molsheim, France. Flexible working arrangement is possible.

 

Who you are:

  • You have a good graduate degree in law (“Prädikatsexamen”) and admission to practice law in Germany and/or a good French master’s degree in business or administrative law
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working at large law firm or multinational corporate legal department, preferably in the biopharmaceutical, medical device or life science industry
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Business-orientated with pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • You love to work independently and balance numerous matters while prioritizing the same on a day-to-day basis as needed
  • Ability to interact well with senior management and colleagues in matrixed, global organization
  • Proficient in English and German or French, with knowledge of German and French being an advantage
  • You have experience in commercial contracting matters, international business transactions and/or handling procurement matters
  • Specific experience handling regulatory, quality, and/or trade compliance matters and the relevant EU regulations is an advantage
