Your role:
In Life Sciences Services business we are customer focused and act as a contract manufacturing, development, and research organization for the pharmaceutical and novel biopharmaceutical industry. As part of our corporate growth strategy, we are further expanding our novel modality capabilities within the mRNA and Lipids Value Chain. To address this development, we are extending the current customer facing project management team with a new scientific focused project management position.

Your responsibility is to guide and advice our mRNA Lipid Formulation Customer testing of novel formulations using innovative excipients / technologies through all stages of preclinical drug product development (focus on formulation screening) on a scientifically and commercially sound basis.


  • Your will independently manage existing and new Lipid formulation projects with global accounts
  • To achieve this, you will closely collaborate with sales to scope new customer projects and create a commercial quotation and assemble the necessary project team in conjunction with the appropriate departments such as R&D
  • You are fully responsible to lead execution of the project over its lifecycle and in this role, you act as single point of contact to the customer and internal team
    You ensure project deliverables are completed on time in full, on budget and to the satisfaction of the customers
  • Based on the customer needs your help to further define our mRNA Value Chain strategy in line with the overall business strategy and drive implementation of processes and structure in collaboration with the internal stakeholders (e.g. Quality, R&D)
  • You continuously drive improvements in customer experience by refining our operational model how to run customer projects


Who you are:

  • Savviness to learn beyond the end of your nose regarding commercial business, business management and related business processes
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and biology and molecular biology methods (including troubleshooting) relevant to handling and analytics
  • Experience with the application and characterization of innovative lipids
  • In-depth knowledge in the formulation, analytics, and testing (both in vitro and in vivo) of nanoscale lipid-based nucleic acid delivery systems (including high throughput screening approaches)
  • At least exemplary project management experience working on customer facing projects (e.g., as part of a contract manufacturing organization, project sales team, technical sales, management of CMOs) in the pharmaceutical industry ideally certified project manager
  • Passion working with people like in internal teams and customers
  • High developed interpersonal skills, drive to succeed, as well as motivation of people
  • Long experience working in agile setups perseverant and convincing to drive organizational change
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (English and German as a plus)
  • Willingness to travel globally on a limited basis max. one week per quarter
