Your Role 

The Buffer Prep Manufacturing Technician II position will work in a cleanroom environment and follow cGMP batch records and SOPs to manufacture viral vector products. Employees will support projects in conjunction with other GMP Manufacturing personnel (Leads, Supervisors, Managers). Manufacturing Technician II will prepare suites for manufacturing, to document deviations, and to operate in a safe and compliant manner. 

The primary responsibility of the Buffer Prep Manufacturing Technician 2 will be to participate in the execution of all phases and facets of buffer and media preparation and sterile filtration into specific aliquots ranging from 50 mL to 500 L. This will include production activities as well as preparing the cleanrooms and post-production cleanup. This role may also assist with any manufacturing role as needed including flask expansion, bioreactor operations, and fill/finish/inspection.  

 

Who You Are 

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other life science field
  • 1+ years of experience working in a cGMP clean room environment performing aseptic manufacturing operations
  • 1+ years of experience with sterile buffer preparation, aseptic operations in a BSC/LFH (biosafety cabinet, laminar flow hood) 

 

 

OR

 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in a cGMP clean room environment performing aseptic manufacturing operations
  • 1+ years of experience understanding cGMP/GDP concepts 
  • 1+ years of experience with sterile buffer preparation, aseptic operations in a BSC/LFH (biosafety cabinet, laminar flow hood) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience executing GMP buffer/media preparation process single-use mixers 
  • Experience with sterile filtration and fill of media and buffers  
  • Working knowledge of flask expansion, bioreactors, TFF, chromatography, and sterile fill operations  

 

Pay Range for this Position- $42,300- $98,700
