Your role:

 

Ensure and continuously improve site EHS&S, risk management related topics, provide EHS expertise and technical guidance/advice to managers, employees and business based on local and global regulations and compliance to ensure full compliance based on Merck EHS local and global group standards and policies.

 

1.Ensure EHS policies, local and global applicable regulations, corporate standards/policies, and other requirements are fully implemented and well obeyed by employees, suppliers/tollers and provide EHS & Security trainings and guidance to employees to enhance safety awareness and knowledge.

2.To drive, initiate and support site EHS and sustainability continuous improvement.

3.Implement EHS and Security audits for contractors/working places/employees’ behaviors, prepare reports, and monitor CAPA status. Provide professional comments and training on Safety / OH / Environmental / Security for site leadership team to make decisions if necessary.

4. To assess risks and hazards to employees, the public and the environment and plan and recommend appropriate operational controls to site management.

5.Collect and report EHS data according to local authorities/corporate as per timelines. Who you are: Education: Major Industrial Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Publish Health background is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or above in EHS related disciplines preferred, but not limited.

 

Who you are:

 

•Working Experience: 5 years or above working experiences in EHS Environment / Health / Safety function in chemical and/or electronics relevant industries will be preferred. Experiences in multinational companies is preferred, 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership position in EHS field. Technical & Professional Knowledge: • Prefer candidates from electronics or chemical manufacturing related background, and especially knowledge in the quality programs including ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001/ISO45001/ISO50001 knowledge.

•With certifications of Environmental, such as waste treatment / toxic substance management / wastewater/ air pollution management, certifications of OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) staff / specialist, Fire Prevention Manager, and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. • Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

•Good in communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proactive, committed and result oriented team player. Able to work under pressure and with confidence for success.

• Ability to work effectively across the matrix organization.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong leadership messaging, in both native language and business English.
