Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, MO, the Maintenance Supervisor will manage Programs for the Maintenance, and Facility Services departments as required by Maintenance Management. This position will also support our business partners in Manufacturing, Quality, EHS and any other departments as needed.  Some of the responsibilities will be:


  • Timely execution of planned actions, within budget and respecting quality metrics
  • Direct, plan, schedule and report all activities as it relates to maintenance repairs.  This includes all demand, preventive, predictive and calibration activities
  • Counsel and develop personnel, which includes reviews, training, and educating
  • Communicate accomplished work by prioritizing and tracking metrics 
  • Evaluate personnel performance and provide mentorship
  • Stay current on technological changes, environmental, compliance, and safety issues 


This position may include weekend and holiday on call and after-hours duty on a variety of all shifts.


Physical Attributes:

  • Wearing a respirator, hard hat, safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, a safety harness, protective clothing and gloves
  • Walking, standing, reaching above the shoulders
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and additional weight with assistance
  • Use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus


Who you are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in an engineering, industrial or other technical field with 2+ years in an industrial supervisor, manager or lead role


  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years in an industrial supervisor, manager or lead role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience with developing personnel by identifying training needs and providing required training
  • Experience with counseling personnel to resolve conflicts, and personal problems
  • Ability to lead maintenance technicians in process improvement activities 
  • Ability to communicate the work to be done completely and clearly with craftsmen
  • Willingness to attend technical seminars, trade shows, etc.
