Your Role: Our company is seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering & Capex Associate Director for our manufacturing site located in Aubonne, Switzerland. The purpose of this role is to develop, implement, and manage the Investment Projects Portfolio, including Strategic Investments and IT/OT/Digital Projects. An ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for innovation, engineering, and project management in the pharma industry. It is your responsibility to manage the capital investment portfolio and report it to the site leadership team, structuring them into different streams to cover the full scope of our end-to-end manufacturing processes: Utilities, HVAC, Infrastructure, Biotech, Fill & Finish, Packaging, Logistics, Quality Control IT/OT/Digital, and Strategic Investments.
You will lead a team of engineers, project managers, and program lead of approx. 20 people + external consultants to ensure that the designs produced are technically sound, robust, and capable of meeting current and future business requirements, as well as to build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure the selection of high-quality suppliers, high-quality products, and optimal pricing.
It will be your responsibility to develop and deliver strategic investment requests, including evaluating project feasibility, allocating budgets and resources, and designing, commissioning, and qualifying projects.
Who you are:
- You have a master’s degree in engineering or Technology or equivalent
- You have 10-15 years of related experience in a Biotechnology or Life Sciences facility.
- You possess a strong experience in Project Management and Engineering Design Principles.
- You have proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers.
- You have proven experience with Bio-Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, Biotech, Fill & Finish.
- You have experience in Regulatory Affairs and with cGMP requirements related to Engineering and Qualification.
- You have demonstrated experience in managing strategic investments and experience in IT/OT/Digital projects.
- You possess excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- You have experience in project planning and implementation, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- You are proficient in English and/or French
