Your role:
During your internship in our analytical lab you will focus on the optimization of small-scale particle engineering processes and characterization of the produced material.
Your job will be the optimization of small-scale particle engineering processed, e.g. focussing on crystallization in combination with further downstream processes like micronization (laboratory scale) or using emulsion and dispersion processes. You will characterize the obtained samples by various analytical methods (e.g. particle size characterization with inline probes, automated optical microscopy with automated image analysis, scanning electron microscopy, laser diffraction, DLS, analytical centrifugation, BET, bulk density, powder flow and different other methods). Using this analytical data, the relevant process parameters must be understood (e.g. by statistical experimental design, DoE) and adjusted to get products with optimal quality regarding particle size and shape as well as optimal manufacturability.
Who you are:
- You are currently studying chemistry, physics, analytical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences or related fields in the second half of your studies.
- You show initiative and very good organizational and communication skills.
- A broad knowledge of instrumental analytical methods and computer skills are required.
- Excellent spoken and written German and/or English is imperative.
Duration: at least 6 months, starting in November 2023
