Service Delivery Manager Application (m/f)

 

Your Role

In your role as Service Delivery Manager for Applications you are responsible for managing end-to-end services for the relevant integrated solutions used by Merck. You are a key member of the Group Applications COE based in our Technology Center in India. You'll be responsible for governing the day-to-day service executed by our IT external strategic providers, and will be the service delivery manager in charge. By this, you will ensure new application evolutions are in line with platform standards. With a special focus on Site Management and eSignature applications, processes and their integration across systems, you will contribute to state-of-the-art technical project delivery implementations leading the application evolutions into successful transformation in productive mode. For this, you will closely work with the solution owner groups based in Germany locations.

 

In this role we see a strong focus on understanding of the Merck Site Management solutions, the alignment and consulting of the business during projects and change requests, proactive quality control of deliverables from external partners and the transition of new solutions to the application support teams. You will conduct regular Service Reviews for in scope services, prepare renewal of SLA in co-ordination with business, plan and execute Tests for DRP for Applications, coordinate vulnerability report follow-up for the applications in scope and coordinate tech refreshes with business and application management services team.

 

Who you are

Education/Professional Experience

  • Bachelor/Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences and/or Business Administration
  • 4-8 years’ experience, including a min. of 3 years of Application Service Delivery Management ideally managing an eSignature platform
  • 3-year experience within an international environment

 

Languages

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)

 

Skills & Competencies

  • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, coordinate actions and act autonomously
  • Ease of working in matrix environment and “own” end to end solution delivery
  • Ability to bridge user requirements from non-technical partners into IT deliveries
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Can lead Application Support team to success
  • Good understanding of development principles.
