Your Role: As a Product Owner for our Cloud Data Warehouse platform based on Snowflake, you will drive the development and enhancement of this crucial component of our internal Data & Analytics ecosystem. Working closely with users in business sectors and stakeholders, including business leaders, data engineers, architects, and data scientists, you will collaborate to understand business needs, translate those into requirements, capture user stories, and define product features for the platform. 

Your main responsibility will be to define and prioritize the product backlog items based on business value, urgency, and available resources. Acting as the primary liaison between end users, business stakeholders, and the engineering team, you will define the product roadmap and ensure seamless integration with other systems and processes within our global D&A ecosystem. This will also require you to engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the product's functionality, usability, and performance. Furthermore, you will continuously gather feedback from end users and regularly communicate product roadmap updates across the organization. Your proactive approach will be essential in identifying potential risks or roadblocks and proposing mitigating strategies to ensure successful roadmap delivery. 

Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to data platforms and Snowflake will be vital in enhancing the effectiveness of the overall ecosystem. Your analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail will contribute to the successful delivery of a high-quality product that meets the needs of our organization. As the Product Owner for Snowflake, you will report to our Ecosystem Product Lead within our Data and AI Organization.

Who you are: 

  • You have a Master´s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • You have 4-7 years of proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in developing enterprise data platforms or data-related products. 
  • You have the ability to envision long-term product success and craft clear and actionable product roadmaps to achieve the strategic company’s goals. 
  • You have a good understanding of Cloud Data Warehouse technologies and architecture (preferably Snowflake) and its capabilities for processing and managing large-scale data. 
  • You have a familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in managing backlog items, sprint planning, and sprint reviews. 
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and results-driven mindset. 
  • You have a self-motivated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • You have experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry (preferred but not required). 
  • You are proficient in English.
