Internship Manufacturing Science And Technologies (MSAT) in process validation

Location : Corsier-sur-Vevey
Your role:
Within the MSAT (Manufacturing Science And Technology) Process Validation team located at Corsier-sur-Vevey (Vaud), you will be part of a team of around 10 specialists/experts that will bring you coaching and support during your internship. You will mainly be developing yourself on our manufacturing process validation studies required to guarantee that a manufacturing process is able to target consistent right quality, so that our patients can attend a safe medicine each time they need to be treated. You will lead validation studies such as stability/mixing of process intermediates, clearance of impurities within the downstream steps, homogeneity of our drug substances, reuse of our chromatography resins and Tangential Flow Filtration membranes, working cell bank change, cleaning of our manufacturing equipments and many more. This will be split into different steps, starting from the definition of the validation strategy with the identification of acceptance criteria and the required analytical testing framed in a validation protocol, the study will then be executed by our manufacturing technicians, and you will then write the corresponding validation report with the required investigation. You will be performing data check of the analytical results required to confirm the success of our validation studies. You will drive improvements of our systems to increase efficiency and quality. This is mainly an internship at the office with the redaction of validation protocols, reports and different assessments, however, you will be able to follow your validation studies live in our manufacturing facilities, both upstream and downstream. The scope of this internship is a real learning process that will boost your knowledge on pharmaceutical manufacturing process.
Your profile:
- Student (Master or Eng) in Biotechnology, Life science or Chemical engineering.
- Motivation to learn about manufacturing pharmaceutical manufacturing, both upstream and downstream
- High level of motivation, good analytical view and open to work in laboratory.
- Good communication skills, oral and written (English and French)
