Your Role
Our company is listed on the Germany Regulated Market and as such is obliged to prepare consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS. Group Accounting Standards is part of Group Accounting and the global finance organisation. As a corporate function the team represents our global centre of excellence for reporting matters and dedicated complex accounting standards related to IFRS.
Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting you will be responsible for leading a team of highly specialised experts in IFRS and external financial reporting at the corporate group level.
This role has specific responsibility for defining how IFRS should be interpreted and applied across our company as well as monitoring the developments of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) to ensure the organisation is proactive in addressing future accounting policies and principles, standards and interpretations and in ensuring their adoption globally.
Ultimately this role leads the team responsible for preparing the annual and quarterly reports, working closely with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications and ensuring their compliance.
You have
- A minimum of 8 years working experience in IFRS consulting, audit of IFRS financials, IFRS enforcement or as a leader of Group accounting policy in a major publicily listed company
- You have globally recognised qualifications such as the German “Wirtschaftsprüfer/in”
- Proven experience managing groups containing highly specialised experts
- A deep knowledge of IFRS
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English
