Your Role:

MilliporeSigma in Kankakee, IL is hiring a Process Engineer.  In this role, you will identify KPIs to enhance processing and efficiencies.  You will also assess new technologies to enhance production capabilities as well as reduce variation within the processes.


  • Research and troubleshoot defective products to identify potential root cause failure
  • Identify key process parameters and their impact on product quality
  • Develop and modify formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality specifications
  • Recommend and implement improvements, modifications, or additions to document work
  • Support the maintenance of production records and documents
  • Maintain and adhere to project timelines / schedule and cost
  • Attend and/or lead cross-functional meetings


This position will include a 3-4 month shift rotation between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Scientific discipline


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in biological manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to deal with multiple conflicting resource requirements
  • Ability to interact effectively with Manufacturing, Planning, R&D, Marketing and Sales, and Customer Service
  • Improving daily activities to drive success
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Access database, and Minitab
  • Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
