Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Location: Jigani, Bangalore


Role Description

  • Daily transaction activities on (GTS) Global Trade System, releasing the blocked SO/PO based on available documentations (customer permits, company licenses, EUDs etc.) for LS entities in East Europe and Africa
  • Compliance review and classification of new products on GTS
  • Authority reporting (excise duty report, nuclear product sales, drug precursors, precursors of chemical weapon etc.)
  • Supporting internal audits and audits from authorities from the compliance perspective
  • Ensure correctness and timeliness of registrations, notifications, licensing activities. Provide interim follow up and outcome.
  • Provide guidance and effective regulatory and trade compliance pathway for all sold and planned to be sold life science products and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare all necessary documents, supporting materials required for authorization of company products.
  • Ensure tracking, maintenance and reporting of registration, licensing notification status.
  • Monitor new regulations and updates on currently in force regulations that might affect the sales of current portfolio and properly notify the local management and global SMEs in timely manner.
  • Keep necessary records related to regulatory and compliance processes for accountability.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong chemistry background
  • Several years (ideally 3-5) of trade compliance experience
  • Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP Systems (SAP Global Trade Systems (SAP GTS) will be an asset)
  • Ability to multi-task, manage projects, prioritize work, and handle ambiguity and complexity.
  • Life Science, Chemicals industry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to interact with senior management in matrix organization.
