Your Role:

As a Data Engineer you will work closely with our customers in Singapore to quickly understand their greatest challenges and implement solutions to solve them. Our semiconductor customers have a wide range of problems to solve, such as “How can we improve the yield of our chip foundries?”, or “How can we accelerate research on new chip designs?”. You will apply your problem-solving ability and technical skills to help our customers understand their data and enable them to make informed decisions. Your skills in data analysis, ETL workflows, and systems optimization will be the key to unlocking actionable intelligence and guiding data-driven strategies.

As a part of this role, you will be responsible for designing and building comprehensive data solutions that encompass infrastructure, analytical models, and intuitive visualizations. Your strategic skills will come into play as you guide the overall direction, striking a balance between adopting the latest techniques and driving tangible business success.

With your strong foundation in programming, data analytics and data integration you will effectively translate client requirements into technical specifications. You will also manage prioritization across stakeholders and develop code with scalability and maintainability as guiding principles.

Your days will be filled with lively collaboration within an agile team, involving debates on architectural options, navigating through large datasets, and fostering strong client partnerships. Through this journey of co-creation, your contributions will directly lead to enhanced productivity and superior quality in our partners' operations.

We are seeking dynamic professionals who embody the spirit of a startup - innovative, adept, and driven. Your expertise in overseeing projects from inception to completion, as well as your ability to revolutionize client processes through data, will be crucial in transforming the semiconductor industry's utilization of information.

Who You Are:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Possessing over 5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field, ideally with hands-on involvement in data analytics or machine learning projects.
  • Having a strong foundational background in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
  • Proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL, and eager to construct comprehensive data solutions that encompass pipeline architecture, model development, and clear data visualization for actionable insights.
  • Skilled in data modeling, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics, with foundational knowledge of advanced multivariate techniques like PCA.
  • Well-versed in a range of programming languages and enthusiastic about mastering more. Python, Java, and TypeScript/JavaScript are within your toolkit.
  • Demonstrating a proven ability to work effectively within a team, and adaptable to a dynamic and evolving startup environment.
  • Possessing a desire for continuous learning, the ability to work independently, and making decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Having a problem-solving mindset and the ability to communicate complex data solutions simply, making you a natural fit for client-facing roles.
  • Experience or interest in leveraging large-scale semiconductor data to solve business problems.
  • Prior experience with Palantir Foundry is preferred.
  • Embodying an entrepreneurial outlook, energized by high-growth environments.
  • Ability to travel 15-25% for collaboration with teams in the Asia-Pacific region.
