Your Role:


The role of the Account Manager for MilliporeSigma Process Solutions is to continually and consistently increase MilliporeSigma’s market share and revenues by collaborating with customers to solve their unique challenges; maintain existing business; and identify new business opportunities. As a member of the Process Solutions team, you will sell a broad portfolio of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) products including raw materials, filtration and purification technologies, single-use and multi-use process technologies, and services to biopharmaceutical customers. You will create value for both the customer and MilliporeSigma. You will strategically manage projects and resources to ensure long term profitable growth. Occasional overnight travel to sales meetings (Canada and USA), tradeshows and remote customer locations.


The role responsibilities are:

  • Ensure that quarterly and annual targets & goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Identify your customers’ needs, goals, and/or challenges and provide solutions to fulfill their needs through the proper positioning of MilliporeSigma products, services, and expertise.
  • Provide accurate and detailed forecasts for your territory.  Understand and communicate customer ordering strategies and drive order intake.
  • Utilize sales tools regularly (Customer Relationship Management (CRM), social media, literature, etc.).
  • Complete all required training on a timely basis.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners including customer service, technical service, field marketing, technology management, demand planning and others.
  • Attend and support tradeshows.


Territory: The Greater Toronto Area OR Montreal/Quebec. Local (non-overnight) travel every week.  Overnight travel approximately 20%.


Who you are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of Bio process technology operations, or process manufacturing development or engineering experience in life science.
  • English for Toronto Territory OR Bilingual (English and French) for Montreal/Quebec Territory


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience in the Life Sciences environment
  • Understanding of biopharmaceutical drug production processes and unit operations.
  • Has a natural affinity to listen, influence and/or sell to all levels of an organization.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships, credibility, and trust.
  • Is self-motivated, assertive; takes initiative and works independently.
  • Utilizes effective negotiation skills; generates results with positive outcomes for both parties.

Le rôle du responsable de compte pour MilliporeSigma Process Solutions est d'augmenter de manière continue et cohérente la part de marché et les revenus de MilliporeSigma en collaborant avec les clients pour résoudre leurs défis uniques, maintenir les affaires existantes et identifier de nouvelles opportunités d'affaires. Vous créerez de la valeur à la fois pour le client et pour MilliporeSigma. Vous gérerez stratégiquement les projets et les ressources afin d'assurer une croissance rentable à long terme. Vous devrez occasionnellement vous déplacer pour assister à des réunions de vente (au Canada et aux États-Unis), à des foires commerciales et à des réunions avec des clients éloignés.


Les responsabilités du poste sont les suivantes :

  • Veiller à ce que les objectifs trimestriels et annuels soient atteints ou dépassés.
  • Identifier les besoins, les objectifs et/ou les défis de vos clients et fournir des solutions pour répondre à leurs besoins en positionnant correctement les produits, les services et l'expertise de MilliporeSigma.
  • Fournir des prévisions précises et détaillées pour votre territoire.  Comprendre et communiquer les stratégies de commande des clients et stimuler la prise de commandes.
  • Utiliser régulièrement les outils de vente (gestion de la relation client (CRM), médias sociaux, documentation, etc.)
  • Suivre toutes les formations requises dans les délais impartis.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les partenaires commerciaux, notamment le service clientèle, le service technique, le marketing sur le terrain, la gestion des technologies, la planification de la demande, etc.
  • Participer à des salons professionnels et les soutenir.


Territoire : Région du Grand Toronto OU Montréal/Québec. Déplacements locaux (sans nuitée) toutes les semaines.  Déplacements de nuit environ 20%.


Qui êtes-vous ?


Qualifications minimales :

  • Licence en sciences de la vie, en ingénierie ou dans une discipline similaire
  • Vous avez plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans les opérations de technologie des procédés biologiques, ou dans le développement ou l'ingénierie de la fabrication de procédés dans le domaine des sciences de la vie.
  • Anglais pour le territoire de Toronto OU Bilingue (anglais et français) pour le territoire de Montréal/Québec


Qualifications souhaitées :

  • Expérience préalable de la vente dans le domaine des sciences de la vie
  • Compréhension des processus de production de médicaments biopharmaceutiques et des opérations unitaires.
  • A une affinité naturelle pour écouter, influencer et/ou vendre à tous les niveaux d'une organisation.
  • Capable d'établir et de maintenir des relations solides, de la crédibilité et de la confiance.
  • Il est motivé, s'affirme, prend des initiatives et travaille de manière indépendante.
  • Utilise des techniques de négociation efficaces ; obtient des résultats positifs pour les deux parties.
