As part of the Life Science Salesforce.com Governance Team and in strong collaboration with the different Life Science Business Units, IT organizations and internal partners across the Company. You, this role is an integral member of the team delivering one of Life Science’s most strategic initiatives. Salesforce.com CRM for Life Science is shifting from a Business Unit and Regionally focused tool addressing fit-for-purpose needs, to a LS Business Enterprise tool supporting the Customer Journey.

 

The Senior Manager of CRM & Digital Tools, APAC SLS, is a leader and representative on the Life Science Salesforce.com Governance team who has overall responsibility of managing the CRM platform and digital tools for APAC SLS. This role is responsible for contributing to a compelling vision and delivering solutions that fit the needs of our stakeholders within the Commercial function and at Life Science at large.

 

The overall purpose of this role is to optimize commercial effectiveness and impact across APAC through platform and process improvements, analytics and insights, communications, and training. This role will partner with Sales, Marketing, CEx, and Service to drive performance and data-based decision making through business insights. It will also educate, partner with, and coach the Marketing & Sales team on Lead & Opportunity Management to ensure a healthy pipeline as well as increase visibility to our business performance. The role will also be responsible for digital tools, leveraging our toolbox to increase productivity and customer satisfaction.

 

Your Role:

  • Serve as thought leader and trusted business advisor to APAC Leadership on CRM platform and digital tools to deliver commercial impact
  • Drive Salesforce as our culture, delivering cost-to-serve efficiencies through lead-to-cash processes optimization, simplification, standardization, focusing on quality adoption
  • Collaborate strongly with SFDC Business Administrators to support user requests, platform maintenance, project implementation, data hygiene, and analytics
  • Represent APAC SLS on CRM Governance to deliver new platform capabilities in alignment with Life Science strategic initiatives and future roadmap, including Country, Regional, and Global initiatives
  • Be the main point person between APAC SLS business, PMO, and IT, build relationships and trust across team members and with all levels of Merck Life Science to deliver harmonized business solutions
  • Represent the voice of the internal and external customer by aligning closely with the Country stakeholders to understand requirements and pain points
  • Drive sales performance with Commercial Leaders and Sales to define and cultivate a healthy Opportunity pipeline, monitor performance and forecasted landing with strong analytical skill
  • Define and execute Communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed of ongoing developments
  • Proactively manage change and continue to upskill the organization on best practice
  • Design, monitor and report on global and APAC KPIs

  

Who You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business would be advantageous
  • At least 10 years+ experience in Commercial roles within the Life Science industry (or similar)
  • Marketing experience would be advantageous
  • Proven track record of leveraging analytics & reporting to influence sales outcomes
  • Proven track record of Project / Change management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Deep understanding of CRM and commercial metrics
  • International experience in a global and highly matrixed business environment
  • Experience in leadership by influence in an environment with potential conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and collaboration skills that will enable you to earn trust at all levels
  • Must be able to demonstrate negotiation skills
  • Must be a team player as well as being able to work autonomously
  • Must have the ability to develop insights from multiple sources
