Product range
Our evaporation materials with the brand name Patinal® have been designed to meet the requirements of optical thin-film production via physical vapor deposition (PVD), the method of choice for many industrial applications. Our product range comprises more than 40 evaporation materials: fluorides, oxides, sulfides, and metals. The products cover the entire range of optical transparency from deep UV to far IR and thus find application in many different fields – wherever an optical coating is required.

Quality control
The quality of each batch of Patinal® products is tested inhouse, including an application test to assure high and reliable batch-to-batch reproducibility and thus constant behavior in the coating process. Suboxides are available for shorter melt preparation and special oxide mixtures for film stress adjustment and films on plastic substrates. For reduced process time, we also offer high-density (HD) oxide mixtures for evaporation.

Due to their high purity, low spitting, and tested process stability, optical coatings made with Patinal® evaporation materials demonstrate high durability even in challenging applications, such as UV-laser or manufacturing applications.
