SKIN LIGHTENING
RonaCare® MAP is a stable vitamin C derivative that is used for its antioxidant, anti-aging, and skin lightening properties. The skin lightening action of RonaCare® MAP is based on its inhibitory effect on melanogenesis through tyrosinase inhibition. More specifically, it acts as a reducing agent on melanin intermediates, thus blocking the oxidative chain reaction at various points of the melanogenetic pathway. RonaCare® MAP is your vitamin-based solution to lighten and brighten unevenly toned skin or areas of unwanted hyperpigmentation (i.e. age spots).
MADE TO brighhten
L-ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, plays many important roles in biological processes. In skin, it has been reported to be involved in e.g. collagen synthesis, tissue repair and tyrosinase inhibition. As potent antioxidant, it is helpful to neutralize and remove free radicals induced by environmental pollutants or after exposure to sunlight. To circumvent the inherent instability of vitamin C in aqueous formulations, there’s RonaCare® MAP, the magnesium salt of the 2-phosphate ester of ascorbic acid. This stable ingredient is converted into vitamin C by the skin’s phosphatase enzymes to deliver an active form of vitamin C into the skin.
The good bioavailability of RonaCare® MAP makes it the ideal system for topical application of vitamin C on skin where it can display its antioxidant and collagen stimulating properties. Further benefits comprise e.g. improvement of skin elasticity, decrease of fine lines and wrinkles, reduction of skin redness, or promotion of wound healing.
