We are happy to announce that one of the startups from our latest Accelerator Program intake from Autumn 2016 has just achieved its first #BigBangMoment! Clustermarket recently graduated from the program, and has now officially launched their website in London, Oxford and Cambridge. In addition, Clustermarket has entered the German market in Nordrhein-Westfalen. But this is, of course, only the beginning for them – many more regions are already in the pipeline.
Clustermarket’s business idea is based on a lab equipment-sharing service for the world of research and development. You can check out their online marketplace here. You may already know them from their presentation at the Demo Day on December 12th, 2016 or as the Silver Winner of the accelerator program of Mass Challenge 2016. Scientists from any field can register on the platform and access latest technology or share their own technology with others through the platform. The platform is also not only about sharing equipment but also about pooling analysis, expertise and infrastructure. Through Clustermarket’s services, researchers’ day-to-day worklife is finally becoming easier and research projects more affordable. This is especially true for younger startups from the life sciences sector that don’t have the financial resources to access to high quality laboratory equipment on a permanent basis.
But there’s more! In addition to the launch of their sharing service, Clustermarket was also invited by the German news channel n-tv to talk about the sharing economy on Startup News!
We wish the whole Clustermarket team the very best and are sure we will be hearing more from them soon. There will be more #BigBangMoments for sure!
