Perspective

Working directly with our customers. They help us define the problem, and reduce the risk of product adoption. At the same time, time pressures are significant. 

Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany will maintain its leadership position in the Materials Sciences and Chemistry for bioseparations, combining historical strengths of Performance Materials, Millipore and Sigma. My group and I are pushing the boundaries of technology in single-use bioprocessing, including very new flow paths and systems.

I'm mostly driven by solving real-world problems and seeing how our solutions are implemented by customers. The best ideas come to mind during brainstorming within a diverse yet internal team, when creativity is allowed to flow unconstrained. 

I joined Millipore Corp. in the US 14 years, which I saw as a highly reputable company, with focus on quality and innovation. I've been happy to observe that the subsequent acquisition by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany only reinforced these values, and added truly global reach and a lot more opportunities for my career.
