Overview
Water snails are essential contributors to schistosomiasis transmission to humans.
Winner of the Innovation Cup in 2016, a collaborative postdoctoral program has been implemented to explore novel technologies to eliminate the infectivity of snails through gene editing and ultimately contribute to schistosomiasis elimination.
Under the supervision and with the support of the Global Health Institute, this program has just succeeded in publishing a review scientific paper in PLOS.
