Endocrinology
Bringing meaningful solutions to endocrine disorders such as growth hormone deficiency.
Disease diagnosis, treatment and long term treatment support
Endocrinology deals primarily with disorders of the endocrine system. Various endocrine organs in the body release hormones into the circulation, which regulate numerous bodily processes, including growth and metabolism.
Within the field of endocrinology our global focus lies in the appropriate actions and treatment of growth hormone disorders.
The need for treatments may last for many years. This presents special challenges for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and parents of children who require treatment. For example, parents may encounter resistance from children who may not accept continual daily injections. As they get older, both children and adults may be reluctant to self-administer their medication.[1]
Devices, technologies and patient support programs can all play a role in creating a treatment regimen that helps to address adherence challenges and may ultimately help to improve treatment management.
