It is time to kick off the fifth round of the Accelerator in Darmstadt, and the fourth round of the Accelerator in Nairobi. The startups entering the Accelerator in this round will be working on innovative solutions with a special emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence. The teams selected for Darmstadt will spend the next three months further developing their business models and projects in the Innovation Center, while the teams in Nairobi will move to the co-working space Mettā Nairobi. In both locations, the startups will receive mentoring and individual coaching sessions from a pool of over 50,000 experts. In addition to this, a cash injection of up to € 50,000 awaits their businesses.
The evaluation process was not easy, as there were, once again, many high-quality applications submitted. We believe that digitization is progressing into nearly every sector of the health and science scene: from hand-held microscopes, chatbots and cooling technologies to digital therapies – the selected startups operate in a wide range of fields and offer a lot of variety. This time around, we also have two startups working to improve quality of life for diabetes patients: for example, the two startups MedicSen and Wellthy Therapeutics aim to revolutionize health management for patients by digitizing diabetes therapies. We are very happy to welcome the new teams and are excited about the progress they will make until the Demo Days in December! We would like to introduce you to each team:
