Dr. James Crowe

James is a board-certified infectious diseases physician, viral immunology researcher and director of the Vanderbilt Vaccine Center in Nashville, Tennessee–where he researches the human immune response to infections and vaccinations. A professor of pediatrics, pathology, microbiology, and immunology, James is a member of the US National Academy of Medicine. He has invented over 50 patents for different vaccines and antibodies and has also published over 350 papers. Together with his team, he won the Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany Future Insight Prize 2019. “Helping the world’s most vulnerable people.” In an interview for our PRO magazine, James describes the ultimate goal of his research.

Andreas is the author of more than 30 patents (and over 25 peer-reviewed publications) and is currently Vice President and Global Head of New Biological Entities at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
