Baskaran is currently a Research Fellow and R&D Manager at EMD Electronics, USA. He leads a group of scientists which develop materials for directed self-assembly of block copolymers for application in photolithography. He also leads a new technology group focusing on spin-on self-assembled monolayers (SAM), spin-on low k dielectrics and inorganic hole-transport layer. Baskaran worked at the University of Tennessee and taught “Organic Chemistry of Polymers”. Prior to role at the University, he worked as a senior scientist and group leader at the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), India for approximately 8 years.
