When Helen looks at natural products surrounding her everyday, she doesn't just see carrots, blueberries or bell peppers, she sees materials that can be used for different types of organic electronics. As a molecular architect she works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto. In this role, Helen and her team leverage polymer chemistry and self-assembly to construct macromolecular bioelectronics. Helen gained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2009. A post-baccalaureate fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs followed before picking up her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University in 2016.
